About the Author
Born in Monte Vista, Colorado. In his childhood, Dr. Andrews moved around the country before settling in Redwood City, California. At the age of 11 his family moved to Grover City, California where he attended and graduated from Arroyo Grande High School. After high school he attended Cuesta JC College for one semester.
At the age of 40 he return to college (Louisiana Baptist University, LBU) and earned his B.A. in Psychology and Christian Counseling. After a short break, he returned to LBU and earned his Masters Degree in New Testament Studies. Soon after, he was contacted by Master's International School of Divinity College out of Newburg, Indiana and asked if he would take on a professors position and develop a counseling course through their Counseling Department. He agreed. While teaching, he took the opportunity to pursue his doctorate and graduated in 2008 with his doctorate in counseling.
From January 1992 he worked as the Executive Director of the Biblical Counseling and Educational Center in Visalia, California. In 1995 he took on the position of Associate Pastor of an evangelical church, occupying both positions until leaving the church in 2008. In 2012 the counseling center closed.
Dr. Andrews served as a volunteer with the International Association of Biblical Counselors, both on the Board of Directors and as the Western Regional Vice-President.
